Modern Queen West Compound

This modern house design was focused on the restoration and revitalization of a three storey brick home in a quaint pocket of Queen West. After working with our client for several years prior, Jesse created a timelessly modern residence that provided the amenities that your average luxury club would offer. The result is a stunningly modern estate that utilizes a combination of fluted wood siding, concrete panels, large windows, frameless glass railings, and green roof features that characterize the property with a sense of warmth, simplicity, and calmness where the three storey double brick home once stood.

On the interior you will find four levels of highly designed contemporary minimalism that spans over 4,900 square feet, along with the matching laneway suite, for a total of 5,900 square feet. Incorporating a laneway suite is what takes this uniquely deep property from a home to a compound. Housing a gym and a second floor purpose-built office, the laneway home helps separate work and play intuitively. The interior of the main home offers a wealth of purpose-built storage, four bedrooms, 5 washrooms, an open concept floor plan that supports entertaining up to twelve guests. The design is light, fresh, airy, and luxurious and this was achieved through the use of light wood herringbone floors, a two tone kitchen design with a creamy white palette featuring lots of hidden storage, and a furnishing plan that wraps the homeowners in functional luxury.

The exterior entertainment space was designed to create a backyard that will provide years of practical enjoyment during both the summer, fall, and part of the winter seasons, featuring a retractable loggia, inclusive of outdoor patio heaters to enjoy the dipping pool in the early spring and fall seasons.
