Swansea Hilltop Lookout

The aptly named Swansea Hilltop Lookout is positioned at the top of a hill in Swansea, and has direct views of the CN Tower and Lake Ontario. To better proportion the width and height of the home, and to better fit within the streetscape, this design integrates the third floor into the roofiline. The dramatically steep mansard roof is designed to allow maximum natural light into the backyard in the late afternoon hours, and the thick gauge standing seam metal acts as a contrasting cap to the to the bright and refined Indiana limestone that clads the walls

Imaes

Large sliding doors open up to the Las Vegas pool party themed backyard, including a dipping pool, garden suite lounge , and dining area with a bar serving window. Here we included a unique limestone interlocking material, as well as a rear decking that matches the interior hardwood quite closely for a cohesive indoor/outdoor experience in the interior design of the place.

The interior design creates a neutral and sleek space that offers a combination of light wood and creamy white accents throughout. Creating a smooth transition between exterior and interior, the 8’ long peninsula fireplace with 30” viewing windows is clad in the same limestone that is used on the exterior walls, and the full height fluted wood siding wall is the same fluted siding that adorns the front exterior entryway.

This home boasts the amenities to support a family of six, including a full height great room, entertaining kitchen and dining room, five bedrooms, a basement bar, lounge, and kids play room that includes a ballet bar, graffiti wall, rock climbing wall, and a monkey bar set (otherwise known as the ninja room).
