Jesse Sahlani’s Contemporary Brownstone project pays homage to the classic Federal row house, featuring crimson red brick with precast limestone window picture frames and sills. The steep and dramatic slate mansard roof integrates the third storey of this home to somewhat mute the height of the building in relation to the streetscape and width of the lot, while the roofline extends to form the walls of the third floor terrace, also concealed within this roofline in the house design. True to tradition this house features three window bays per floor and a small stoop entryway.
Inside, the soaring ceilings are used to balance the narrow footprint creating a grand and airy space including four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a basement gym, and an expansive third floor principle suite that includes direct access to the rooftop terrace.
Luxury transfers seamlessly into the backyard where a sunken hot tub, exterior speakers, heaters, a TV lounge, and a fire pit lounge area ensure that this space is ready for relaxation and gatherings.
