The Contemporary French Chateau project in Mississauga, ON was a project centered around the timeless elegance of French architecture. Characterized by a limestone exterior, symmetrical mullioned windows, and a steeply pitched slate roof with balanced dormers.
While the rear facade and landscape plan were designed with the same classical inspiration as the front, the result was a more outwardly contemporary environment through the use of large panel windows that provide access to the rear loggia, second floor juliet balcony directly accessible through the principle bedroom, and the large bay window.
The three seasons loggia, that can be enclosed and heated, creates a seamless connection between the interior and exterior entertaining spaces. Other features include turf inlays in the interlocking stone pool deck, a fire pit, extensive shrubbery plans, ambient lighting, and exterior speakers, offering the comforts of the living room in a relaxing outdoor setting.
The interior of the house by our house designers includes four bedrooms, a second floor walkout balcony, floor to ceiling paneled walls throughout the home, a floor to ceiling fireplace, unique stair railing profiles, and a creamy white palette that is consistent from the basement to the second floor of the home, adding effortlessly to the relentlessly elegant interior details throughout.
